If the days are feeling warmer and longer, that's because we're approaching the Summer Solstice, the longest day and shortest night of the year, and known as Midsummer in many cultures. The length of the day changes depending on where you are in the world, increasing as you move from the equator to the North Pole. Conversely, the Southern Hemisphere is experiencing the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year.
