A Floridian by birth, I moved farther north to Virginia during my high school years. I graduated in 1980 from Mary Washington College (now the University of Mary Washington) in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and minored in Math (just 3 credits short of a double major). Right out of college, I taught High School Chemistry for a time and loved teaching and the kids. Over the following years, I have lived in 9 different states in this beautiful country, but mostly in Virginia and Arizona!
An entrepreneur at heart, I have owned several successful businesses over the years. In 2001, I founded and am CEO of The Peake Financial Group, complete with Series 6, 63, 65 (Investment Advisor Representative) registrations and Life Insurance licenses. Bringing years of experience as a business owner, mother, Grammy, teacher, and financial and insurance advisor, I specialize in working with divorcees and widows to have confidence and security in making informed decisions with their investments, and possibly insurance to fulfill their dreams and safeguard their futures.
I am an enormously proud mother of three adult children, their counterparts, plus 5 grandchildren and 2 Grand-dogs who live around the country. I have one dog at this time who is a thirteen year old mutt, Belle, who walks with me in each morning 3 miles or 4, depending on my schedule.
I am active in eWomenNetwork (previously Tucson, Phoenix and Northern Colorado Managing Director, now on the Tucson Leadership Team), BeeKonnected as Qualified Founding Affiliate, published in 3 books, a popular guest on podcasts, active in my church community, plus in and around Tucson in several organizations, including 4Tucson. Other than all that, I sit around an do nothing but read and do puzzles.
